Cookie Policy

This policy explains how TikSync Pro uses cookies and similar browser storage on tiksyncpro.com and within the TikSync Pro application. We keep our cookie usage minimal — we do not use advertising or behavioural tracking cookies.

1. What Are Cookies?

Cookies are small text files that a website saves on your device (computer, phone, or tablet) when you visit. They allow the website to remember information about your visit — such as whether you're logged in — across page loads and browser sessions.

Session vs. Persistent Cookies

First-Party vs. Third-Party Cookies

localStorage (Not a Cookie, but Similar)

localStorage is a browser storage mechanism that works similarly to cookies but lives entirely in your browser — it is never transmitted to our servers. We use localStorage for a small number of UI preference flags. These are listed in Section 2.2.

2. Cookies We Use

2.1 Essential Cookies

These cookies are required for the Service to function. Because they are strictly necessary, they cannot be opted out of through a cookie banner. If you disable them via browser settings, you will not be able to log in to TikSync Pro.

2.2 Functional (localStorage)

The following items are stored in your browser's localStorage — not sent to our servers. They are used purely for UI preferences within the application.

2.3 Analytics Cookies

We do not currently use Google Analytics, Mixpanel, Hotjar, or any other third-party analytics or tracking cookies. Any product usage data we collect is done server-side using your authenticated session and is described in our Privacy Policy. We will update this policy if we ever introduce analytics cookies.

2.4 Third-Party Cookies

Certain third-party services used by TikSync Pro may set their own cookies during your interaction with our Service. We do not control these cookies and they are governed by the respective providers' privacy and cookie policies.

3. How to Control Cookies

You can control and delete cookies through your browser settings. Note that disabling essential cookies will prevent you from logging in to TikSync Pro.

Here are direct links to cookie management guides for the most popular browsers:

Google Chrome

Mozilla Firefox

support.mozilla.org

Apple Safari

Microsoft Edge

To clear localStorage specifically, open your browser's DevTools (F12), go to Application > Local Storage > tiksyncpro.com, and delete the keys listed in Section 2.2.

Under GDPR and the ePrivacy Directive (EU Cookie Law), cookies that are strictly necessary for the operation of a service do not require prior consent. The two first-party cookies we use — PHPSESSID and tiksync_remember — fall into this category.

Because we do not use tracking, advertising, or behavioural analytics cookies, we do not display a cookie consent banner. If we introduce optional cookies in the future, we will update this policy and implement appropriate consent mechanisms before doing so.

5. Changes to This Policy

We will update this Cookie Policy whenever we add or remove cookies from the Service. If we introduce optional (non-essential) cookies that require your consent, we will update this policy and display a cookie consent mechanism before those cookies are set.

This policy was last updated on May 26, 2026. The current version is always available at tiksyncpro.com/legal/cookies.
